Hunter Stallion Station Equine Veterinary Clinic (HSS-EVC) is located in Wilton, CA. HSS-EVC was founded and is fueled by Robert Hunter, DVM. Dr. Hunter is a 1979 graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and a member of both the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the California Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Hunter has a successful Veterinary practice and has taught college courses in Equine Reproduction and Health Management.  

Hunter Stallion Station Equine Veterinary Clinic has been collecting stallions and breeding horses for over 20 years. HSS-EVC was among the first to ship fresh cooled semen in the 80’s. HSS-EVC was using frozen semen from Europe to breed mares prior to it becoming a common practice in the United States. Over the years HSS-EVC has handled and collected stallions of many different breeds and a wide range of semen quality. Most stallions ship very well, occasionally some need special techniques to improve and insure the highest quality, motility and longevity possible.   

Hunter Stallion Station Equine Veterinary Clinic is a full service equine veterinary clinic offering the most advanced semen freezing technology available in the industry. The staff at HSS-EVC works diligently to keep owners educated and informed through out their stay.  We are dedicated to each horse’s unique needs and strive to offer the highest quality of service available in the industry with the most up to date technology for optimal results. Horses are groomed and exercised daily at our immaculate facility. 

Hunter Stallion Station Equine Veterinary Clinic is recognized and USDA certified for freezing and shipping semen internationally. HSS-EVC consistently achieves above a 95% conception rate handling fresh as well as transported cooled and frozen semen. HSS-EVC is a first class facility of unquestionable character and reputation.
